Industrial Technology Institute

The foundation of the institute was laid in 2003, when the opening of the oil and gas faculty was held by the decision of the academic the university council. As part of theinstitute, there are 9 graduating educational programs: “Construction engineering”, “Production of building materials”, “Oil and gas business”, “Chemical engineering”, “Geology and exploration of mineral resources”, “Machines of Eextractive industries”, “Mechanical engineering”, “Mechatronics”, “Robotic systems”.

The development of the Karachaganak gas and oil condensate field, the presence of machine-building plants, huge reserves of ore and non-metallic raw materials, the development of mass civil and industrial construction require appropriate personnel and scientific support. Therefore, by the Decree of the government of the Republic of Kazakhstan dated 25.06.2005, No. 633, a mechanical engineering faculty was established at the university.

2007 – A new building of mechanical engineering faculty was put into operation

2008 – The first graduation of mechanical engineering faculty bachelors

In June 2019, as a result of university optimization, the mechanical engineering faculty was renamed the Industrial and technological institute.

Since September 1, 2020, the Institute has been headed by corresponding member of the national engineering academy, technical sciences doctor, professor Montaev Sarsenbek.

Currently, the institute has licenses for the training of specialists in higher and postgraduate education in 18 educational programs, of which 9 are for undergraduate, 8 for master’s and 1 for doctoral studies. The training of specialists in all educational programs of higher and postgraduate education is conducted in three languages. All educational programs are reviewed by employers, professional associations and alumni.
